Oatmeal cookies

Softest Ever Oatmeal Cookies
Marilee’s friend Kristi Clews
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs (5 if doubled)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking powder
2 cups quick oats
2 cups flour

Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs. In a separate bowl mix vanilla, soda, salt and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture. Mix flour and oats together. Mix with creamed mixture. Stir in chips of your choice. Bake at 3500 for 8-10 minutes.
